I am a first year student here at the University of New England and I am majoring in dental hygiene. I became interested in this field when I was accepted into the dental assisting program at Shawsheen Tech. I was born and raised in Wilmington, Massachusetts. I very much enjoy playing sports, such as soccer and swim. I had played soccer since I was in kindergarten. Although I loved to swim for fun all my life, I only started playing competitively when I got to high school. Sports were a great way for me to make friends and have the benefits of feeling in shape and healthy. Even though I loved all of these things, I gave it up in college because I was worried it would effect my time management. When I came here to UNE I had one of my best friends from high school with me. I am very fortunate for this because I probably couldn’t of made it without her. Along this journey we met our other friend and basically stuck to our little group. I have an amazing family who always supports me. I have a younger brother that is in eight grade and is one of the funniest people I know. We can disagree on things sometimes but other times he can be the sweetest boy you will ever meet. My parents are always encouraging me to try new things. They have stuck by me through all my decisions with college and my future. They always want the best for me and I am very thankful for the loving family I have.
